Lower Back & Front Thigh Pain - Please Help

Hello,
The right side of my lower back aches constantly & seems to affect the front of my thigh on my right side. It feels as if my thigh is cramping. I had a ultrasound on my ovaries three months ago which came back fine. All blood and urine tests were ok as well. However, I had a CT scan with contrast last week & my Doctor's office left a message on my phone today telling me to phone for an appointment, my Dr. wants to see me to discuss the results of my CT Scan. I'm really scared because the pain in my back is so constant & has been there for at least eight months. I've had sciatica in the past but this feels different. Also, my lower abdomen on the right side has moderate pain (off and on) as well. Any advice you are able to provide is much appreciated as I'm very nervous and my Dr.'s office is closed until Monday. Thank you.

Hello,
There is no need to be so enthusiastic about the CT scan report. It could be normal and mostly will be ,but the doctor does not have tendency to disclose reports on phone for non medicos ,as there are chances of misinterpretation of the statement of doctor. So doctor might have advised you to come up and meet personally to discuss in details regarding your illness.Personal discussion does not mean serious thing everytime ,but it means proper discussion and management of the particular disease.
Already you have mentioned that you had affection of sciatica in past so it could be repeat episode and could be along with muscular pain.
hope this helps.

Hi, I received my CT Scan results and I feel much more at ease. It appears the scan was of my abdominal region only and not my back. The report said - kidneys, spleen, pancreas, adrenals and gallbladder are remarkable. There is a very small cyst on right ovary. There is a small mark on liver which cannot be labeled abnormal so it's inconclusive. The base of lungs are unremarkable.
The Dr. told me that the ovarian cyst is nothing to worry about and the mark on the liver is probably nothing - possibly a birthmark. My Dr. recommended that I have an MRI on my liver just to be cautious. Also, the pain I am having could be from the ovarian cyst and/or a pinched nerve in my back. Again, thank you for your advice.
