Low Blood Sugar, Trouble In Breathing. MRI, CT Scan, Ultra Sound Done. No Specific Medical History. Problem?

I am trying to find out information about type 1 juvenile diabetes, my grandson called me today and said his mother had fallen in the kitchen. Fire dept and ambulance were called. She has been admitted to hospital. Now my questions are why does she still keep having seizures while in the hospital, her blood sugar keeps going low, and she is having trouble beathing. Her mother has been in contact with me, as I live over 100 miles away. MRI, CT scan, ultra sound and more blood work has been done-just waiting for results. I know the liver and pancreaous play a vital role in breaking down the sugars in her body. Will she have to under go any surgery or can this be a life threating for her. I am feeling so helpless, I'm worried more for my two grandchildren. Any response will be very helpful

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
At present it will be very early to say something about the disease without any reports and physical examination.
As Blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature , pulse and urine output play an important role in condition of the patient .
However disorders of Islet beta cells of pancreas play an important role in sugar management .
If insulin is high it will reduce sugar level & vice versa.
Seizures may be due to many reasons as Hypertensive encephalopathy,
low blood sugar ( hypoglycemia),
Epilepsy ( status epilepticus).
Don't worry as doctors will be able to control disease.
Good luck.
