Loss Of Sensation On The Cheek, Lip And Lower Eyelid After Zygomatic Fracture. Concerned About Permanent Nerve Damage
Hi I'm depressed due to originally overlooked minor zygomatic/orbital floor fracture. The trauma 2.5 years ago. Loss of some sensation on the cheek, upper lip, lower eyelid. -Only symptoms after trauma. Family Doc and Neurologist said "just wait" They should have sent me to the maxillo-facial surgeon. Now, CT showed minor old fracture and compression of infraorbital nerve. I'm afraid of permamently damaged nerve. I have little loss of sensations, little parasthesia nad little pain. But despite little disfunction Symptoms make me crazy and I cannot handle this. Have I at least 1% chance for nerve recovery after decompression surgery.?. i'm so depressed :(

Hi! Thanks for the query. Your are chances of recovery are there . Go to Maxillo Facial surgeon and get the nerve decompressed as early as possible. Better late than never. Take care.
