Loose Stools, Diarrhea, Low BP. ECG Done, Unstable Angina. History Of Hyperlipisaemia. Prognosis?

hi my mother presented with loose motion- watery diarrhoea-3 days, not controlled by cifran, flagyl and later on cefepime . this is the second episode. today morning her bp dropped to systolic 80 mm of hg, ecg done- unstable angina- shifted to icu . prev history of hyperlipisaemia- on atorvastatin , irregular medications. what is the prognosis.

Sorry to say the prognosis may be bad. Unstable angina is the major threat. She is in SHOCK. There are several inter-related problems in this situation - for example, fluid resuscitation for diarrhoea may be complicated by heart failure. She needs invasive monitoring. But it is not hopeless - there IS a chance to come round
