Loose Stools And Colon Cancer

Hi. I am a 26 years old woman. I am having loose and sometimes watery stools accompanied by abdomen cramps and urgency to go to toilet. It started 15 days ago, and then for two or three days I was having normal bowel but again it became worse. I haven't take any medicine yet for this purpose. I am just too scared as I have heard this might be a symptom of coon cancer. Please help me!

Hello Anzalin,
Please do not panic. The symtoms are that of eneteritis (inflamation of intestines ) or coliitis (inflamation of colon). The reason may vary from very spicy diet to infection. In cases of cancer usually the complaints are of 1) long standing, with presence of blood in stool 2) do not usually respond to conventional treatment of diarrhoea (and you have not taken any treatment yet ) 3)General symptoms of seveare weight loss, loss of appetite and easy fatigue are present.

At this stage a primary lab investigation of Stool examination microscopic and macroscopic may be advised, followed by Stool culture and sensitivity if needed.

So in my opinion it is not Cancer of colon (from whatever history is available.)Just get some proper treatment from a local

hi,
considering your age the possibility of canceris very unlikely. you may be having infection and colitis. take medicine for treatment of colitis and even then if symptoms don't resolve then you need to get your self investigated further.
