Long Tubular Structure Inflammed In The Cecum. Unclear If Cystic Structure Or Diverticulum. Suggestions?

I just received this report... Can you give me some insight as to what this means. Thank you . So your CT scan results are back and there does seem to be an issue in the cecum (where the small bowel meets the large bowel, on the right side of the abdomen ). There is a 9cm tubular structure that is inflamed. It is unclear if this is a cystic structure or a diverticulum. The gastroenterology consult was a good idea because this will be the specialist to address this issue.

This may be cystic structure or diverticulum or appendix. Get done one colonoscopy to know the correct diagnosis. Consult your doctor for further management. Have adequate regular sleep, plenty of fluids, nutritious fibrous diet with required calorie and regular outdoor exercises for your wellbeing.
