Lightheaded, Brown Discharge, Iud Inserted, Tender Breast, Cramps. In Monogamous Relationship. Suggestions?

For the past 2 weeks I have been lightheaded and feel as though I am drunk or on a constant rocking boat. I am exhausted. I can't sleep long enough and I even nap during the day. I have mirena the iud and haven't had a period in over 2 years. The last 2 days I've had a light brown discharge. No smell, no differece other than the color. I have had some breast tenderness, and a few light cramps. I'm in a monogomous relationship. What gives?

Hi,
In the current scenario, pregnancy should be excluded/confirmed through a serum beta-hCG assay. If pregnancy is excluded, the discharge is most likely due to improper hormonal balance. Weight gain, associated stress, ovarian cysts, infections and the Mirena itself can lead to such disturbances. A trans-vaginal sonogram can be of much help. Please see a specialist for a complete evaluation and follow up. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
