Light Spotting. Duphaston Prescribed. Pregnant?

My doctor prescribed Duphaston tablet as I have light spotting during my ovulation period ( I'm on my 6 days of taking the medicine).I wonder, how would I know if the symptoms I am experiencing is due to the side effect of Duphaston or I maybe pregnant? I'm on my 23 days of cycle and im dying to know if Im pregnant. Thank you for your help. Jia Kanjani

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Yes, the symptoms due to side effects of duphaston can mimic pregnancy symptoms sometimes.
So just by these symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion.
You wait till expected date of periods and if you miss the period go for blood test for pregnancy.
If you want to go for urine test for pregnancy you better do the test 4 to 5 days after crossing the period date.
Meanwhile you continue progesterone tablets and folic acid tablets.
