Left Sided Chest Pain, Back Pain, Tingling In Left Arm. Causes For Symptoms?

Hey i am 16 , over wieght not by a lot but still over weight. For the past 2 weeks i would feel a pain in my chest left side (the heart i think) about once a day. over the days the pain has become wrose and more persistent, today the pain has increased and it is consistent and i also feel back pain in the same spot as my heart and my left arm tingles from time to time it is very uncomfortable and it hurts. whats happening?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Given your symptoms, it seems that we are looking at a muscular injury or a nerve injury which could have been precipitated by trauma or some unusual activity. The tingling is probably become the same nerves supply the left side of the chest and left arm. Thats why pain in 1 area is referred to another one.
At this stage, what we need to do is hot compresses . Also apply some diclofenac gel locally. If the pain still persists, we would need to get you seen by a physician who can do a Nerve conduction velocity test to find out if the nerves are fine
