Left Side Of Neck Swollen, Pain, Had Blood Clot Rupture On Back Of Head, Menopause. Side Effect?

Hi, I noticed a few days ago that the left side of my neck is swollen with sharp shooting pain that travels up my left side. It concerns me as I have had a stroke before when I had a blood clot rupture on the back of my head on the left side. I am also going thru menopause, so was wondering if this is a side effect. Thank you for your time.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The sudden pain and swelling in the neck that you have could be due to an injury in the area or lymph node swelling. This is not likely to be due to blood clot. A direct examination is an integral part of such diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
