Left Side Of Head Itching, Clear Yellowish Liquid Secretion. Advise?

the left side of my head is always itches and i scratch it... at first it started scabbing then because it itched so much and i scratched it started secreting a clear yellowish liquid on my scalp and it wont stop. i stopped scratching my head and i cant stop the liquid from coming out doo you have any idea of what it might be?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you may have a fungal infection of the scalp, which as a result of the itching, has become secondarily infected with bacteria.The yellow liquid may be pus.

If it is a fungal infection you would need to use oral antifungals for a few weeks- usually at least 4 weeks.
If the doctor believes there is also a bacterial infection then anti biotics may be required.
