Large lump on the mastoid bone. Cancer?

I have a large hard boney lump/mass directly under my mastoid process in fact it feels like another mastoid bone it doesn t hut and I can not feel this on the left side. It is more prominent when I look left and can t really be felt when I look right. No doctor seems to be able to feel it when they examine. It is definitely there. I fact my sternomastoid seems to protrude slightly because of it. Is it possible it s the c1 vertebrae? Or would you think tumor/cancer?

hi and thank for the query,
\examination of a mass, depending on the growth an nature could conceal particular properties of this mass. the growth speed, associated signs and symptoms like tiredness and weight loss , presence or absence of fever are very important in the evaluation pocess of this mass. ASt times a clinical examination on its own might not be sufficient. A Ct scan f the head especially around this region could be a great tools to actually proof the presence of the mass, describe the borrs, the consistencyand giev an idea of the intergrity of the neighbouring structures/
Meeting an ENT surgeon or Odonotostomatologist for advice and probable CT scans could be helpful.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
