Knot On Neck, Swelling, Glands Enlarged, Infection, Antibiotics. Recommendations?
my 13 year old son has a knot on his neck which we had a doctor look at. he said it was an infection and gave him some antibiotics. the swelling decreased now but seems to enlarge again occasionally. my son has a problem of masturbating daily or more, which causes the gland to enlarge. when i can get him to stop for a few days the gland on his neck decreases in size. can masturbation be causing the glandular problem.

The glands swelling in the neck occurs due to infection in the upper respiratory tract. That is because the glands in the neck drain the lymph from that area. There is no co relation between masturbation and gland swelling in the neck. The glands which drain the genital organs are situated in the groin region.
