Knee Pain, No Stiffness, Cannot Put Weight. Help

Hi! I am Mareah. A little less then 1 week ago, my knee just started hearting out of nowhere. I was just standing and the next min. I was falling on the sofa with sever knee pain . It felt like my knee contracted and I could not stretch my leg. I thought it was some sort of cramp in my knee because I could not stretch it out. However there was nothing stif around my knee. I still can not put whight on my knee. I can not walk very good. Although the stifness has eased up and relesed I still cannot stretch out my knee and it herts, but it is sort of hard for me to pin point the sore of the pain. I feel like it is in the back of knee, but sometimes it just feel like its all over, in the back, front, and on both sides.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

It might be soft tissue injury, ligament injury or fracture.

Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.

Regards.
