Knee Injury, Pain On The Inside Of Right Calf, Swelling, Shooting Pain In Leg. Muscle Tear?

Hi I collided like knee on knee with my one classmate during gym. I can feel pain in the inside of my right calf or leg muscle and there s some type of swelling or lump developing. It doesn t hurt to walk just sudden bursts of pain shoot up my leg once and a while. Can you please tell me if I could havettore a muscle and whjat i should do?

Thanks for posting your query.

I have read your query in detail. The symptoms you have described are more likely to be symptoms of muscles strain.
To get relief from the pain and for quick healing:
1. Do hot fomatation at the site.
2. Apply local anti-inflammatory gel 2-3 times a day.
3. Take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and local swelling or inflammation.
4. Do not try to do exercise that involve painful muscles. Give proper time for the injury to heal.
