Knee And Heel Pain. X Ray Confirms Early Osteoarthritis. Treatment?

Hi, my husband is 27 years old (183cm, 98kg). In an attempt to loose weight, he often went to the gym and worked out for 1 1/2 hour everyday. He didn't loose much weight though but developed knee and heel pain. We went to the orthopedic and x-rays were taken. According to doctor, his muscles (correct me if i am wrong) behind the patela and heel is 'loose'. Besides, the doc confirmed that he has any early osteoarthritis. The doctor gave some medicine but still it did not work. Recently, we went to a chinese physician and he told that the muscles on his thighs have gone stiff and that is the cause of the knee and heel ache. I feel very bad for him as he is still going through a lot of pain.

Hi,
It seems that due to heavy weight and reducing weight quickly he started extreme exercise and walking for one to one and hour.
Keep in mind that daily exercise for half an hour is enough and doing more exercise sometime produces more harm than relief.
So by doing prolonged exercise, his leg muscles got strain or pull giving you this problem.
Rule out thyroid and diabetes as well.
Ok and take care.
