I am 45yr old male in fairly good health. I have never done much meth at all, mostly coke and rarely ever abused it as i only did it once every 4-5 mos or so. I had been dealing with chest pain and indigestion so bad for a few weeks before my binge I had an ekg and blood work done at my practitioner s and my heart was ruled out. Then I started on a 6-8 day straight meth binge, only snorting it, doing it sparingly, about .25/day or less. Forced myself into eating 2-3 meals a day and making myself drink a fair amount of fluids and getting about an average of 2-3hrs sleep a night. After the 3rd day I started having some really bad chest pressure, ache, and burning pains around my armpits / pectorals, neck area and dizziness. Took blood pressure several times when the pain was at its worst, it was always around 120/90, pulse around 100/min, my normal blood pressure is around 140/80, pulse 70. Felt like I was pumped up with pressure, like flexing but I wasn t. I tried to tell myself it might be compounding my indigestion or a cold as it felt a whole lot like burning indigestion/bronchitis. But I also had really, really bad kidney aches and pains, constipation, producing very small amounts of dark urine, tenderness in my forearms and headache. I know that it was my cardiovascular but the insanity kicked in because I still had a whole bunch of meth left to snort. So I continued for 4 more days. All i could do was 1 or 2 small lines a day because of the pains it produced. As hard as it was I eventually forced myself to toss a big bag I had left right out as I could not resell it in good conscience or to continue to play russian roullete. All the pains in my chest were gone and felt normal again within a day, the kidney pains gone in 3 days. I know i need to see my doctor and I know it s your duty to suggest at the very least that. My primary question I would like to ask you here is have I had a heart attack or caused any serious long term damage to cardio/pulmonary system, kidneys or liver? Thanks in advance for your time, you provide a valuable learning experience here for everyone.
