Itchy Skin, Bruising On Scratching, No Physical Injury. Treatment For Symptoms?

Hello. I have been experiencing very itchy skin and then huge bruising after scratching . What could be causing this and what is the best way to treat it. Right now there is a bruise so big on my arm people are asking me if I am a victim of domestic violence. I have not bumped into anything and no one has beat me. Please help...the itching is driving me batty.
