Itchy Red Bumps On Left Arm To Shoulder. Applied Ointments, Dead Skin Peeled, Stinging Raised Bumps. Suggestions?

I have raised itchy red bumps on my left arm up to my shoulder. I scratched it until it caused an open sore. I have applied ointments to stop the itching and so that it can heal. Now a week later it has scabbed up and it seems that dead skin is starting to peel away. Sometimes the raised bumps sting as well. What could it be?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed an allergic contact dermatitis.
Itch just in one arm followed by scabbing indicates aleergy.
you can apply a mild steroid cream and take anti histamine tablet.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
