Itching In Back, Bites, Dime Sized Hives, Vesicular Rash. Given Diphenhydramine. Was Playing In Dirt. What Virus Is It?

Hello, my 7 year old was playing outside last night and came in crying asking me to scratch her back. I lifted her shirt and found a live flea, plus 8 bites that had turned into dime-sized hives! we gave her diphenhydramine directly and put her to bed after a good wash. When she woke up,the hives were gone, but 2 of the bites had circumscribed flat red margins, and all surfaces of her face ONLY were covered in a vesicular rash !!! we washed her again in clear water, with no change. We have not changed soaps, and she was not playing with foreign plants, only in the dirt we had tilled up for the garden.
Could the rash be caused by the flea bite? if not, what in the world kind of virus would attack only the face?!? She is up to date on all her immunizations.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi thanks for writing here.Your daughter seems to have insect bite sensitivity .Once bitten by any kind of insect, body tends to sensitise with it and rash can spread to other parts of body.Continue with diphenhydramine.Start applying a steroid antibiotic combination like fucibet over affected area.It will be available on counters. If rash does not subside then better to consult your doctor.Take care.
