Itching And Foul Smell In The Vagina. Could It Be Due To STD?
hi i was with my sons father for years he went with another women with our break up and now we r back together but after intercourse a few weeks ago and now i have discomfort in pelvic area and a smell like something dead and slightly fishy....now he says she had that smell...did i catch an std?if so which one would it sound like?

You must understand that the vagina is a mucous membrane. It is a place which can be called a factory for producing and harnessing different types of viruses and bacterias. Also body fluids also accumulates there. Urine, sexual lubricants and other body fluids, bacterias, viruses, remnants of white blood cells, dust etc accumulates inside vagina. Therefore foul smell is 'natural'. Wash the area twice with warm water and keep it hygiene and clean. Good luck.

Common causes of vaginal itching and foul smelling discharge include:
1.Sexually transmitted disease (STDs). Chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, trichomoniasis, and gonorrhea.
2.Yeast infection (vaginal candidiasis).
3.Bacterial vaginosis .
These are the few possibilities of itchy vagina and foul smell after an unprotected sexual intercourse.
Visit to a gynecologist for clinical examination,lab tests and treatment accordingly.
