It Is Safe To Use Arcoxia While Breastfeeding?

It is safe to use arcoxia when i m breastfeeding? My baby is only 2 months of age. I got an abscess on my armpit and my dr gave me cloxacillin and arcoxia for meds. I advise him that i m breastfeeding but when i browse the net i read that it is not safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mom like me. I already took 120mg today. Will it harm my baby? How many days should i express my milk and throw it before i breastfeed my baby again. Thanks

Thanks for using healthcaremagic.I understand your query.
Brief answer: Relatively safe.
Detailed answer:If i was your physician, would also have suggested selective COX-2 inhibitor(newer generation NSAID's)like etoricoxib(arcoxia) which are equally effective and relatively considered safe in lactating women if taken in low effective dose for short period than older generation NSAID's.I would advise you to discuss with your pediatrician whether to continue breast feeding or go for alternative infant feed temporarily.Hope this information helps you.If any questions, happy to answer you.thank you.
