Is Working With A Broken Rib Causing Internal Injury?

I have a broken rib in my right front chest under my right breast . I hurt the worst trying to lay down or getting up and breathing to deeply . I have to work to survive I do housekeeping 4 days a week i have worked 4 days last week which was not fun but I lived through it . I hurt myself a week ago last Fri . my question is am I doing myself more harm inside by working ,is it going to do damage internally ? I have never broken a rib before and I forgot to ask Dr. in emerg

Hi, Welcome to healhcaremagic. After going through your query I concluded that you are having injured your right chest probably rib fractures. You are having pain in chest. You need to take rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. You want to continue your work.According to me you can continue to work. It will not effect fracture healing but it will be painful to work. You can take analgesic for pain.
