Is Withdrawal Bleeding Necessary After Unwanted 72?

Sir unfortunately i had unprotected sex on 30th jan 2016 and my fiance s next period date is on 14th feb 2016.. I gave her unwanted 72 within 2hrs of our sex.. today is 5th feb..but there is no vaginal bleeding till now.. is she is pregnant...?? Plz help me sir... m very much worried...

Hello dear,
Do not worry.

Unwanted 72 contain 1.5 mg levonogestrol.
It should be taken with in 72 hr of unprotected intercourse.
It inhibit the action of FSH and LH, so there is no maturation of follicle in the ovary and decrease the chance to become pregnant.

Withdrawal bleeding occurs in most women at around the scheduled or expected time for menses (period) in that cycle.
In a few cases it may occur within 5 days.
Rarely the period may be delayed by about 7 days.
So you can wait up to 21th february.


If period is delayed by 7 days, then you should exclude the pregnancy.
By urinary pregnancy test or by Blood HCG level and consult with doctor.
If your pregnancy test will come positive and you do not want pregnancy, then you should use pregout abortion kit to discard unwanted pregnacy.
