Is Wine Consumption Safe After Taking ZzzQuil?

Hi, I have had trouble sleeping recently and about 4 hours ago I took 25 milligrams of zzzquil (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) to help me get to sleep. It failed to work and just now without thinking of it I had about two glasses of wine, I m concerned about what the side effects of this could be.

HI
WELCOME
I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR QUERY.
Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while you are taking diphenhydrAMINE. You should be warned not to avoid activities requiring mental alertness.
I WOULD HAVE SUGGESTED YOU NOT TO TAKE ALCOHOL WITH THIS AGENT.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
