Hi
Usually certain amount of
vaginal discharge is normal (1 to 2 tsp/day). Discharge can be thick or thin in consistency, color varies from clear fluid, milky or dark brown colour (especially during
menstruation). Discharge is due to glands which are present in
cervix and vagina, they are greatly influenced by female sex harmones, that's why we notice variation in the amount of discharge during menstruation, due to
oral contraceptive pills and also during sexual arousal. Normal commensals (non harmful organisms) which are present in vagina also contributes to vaginal discharge. All above mentioned things are normal phenomenon.
U should
consult doctor if u have any of the following problem
-If u notice change in the color like yellow or green.
-If discharge looks clumpy like cottage cheese.
-If ur suffering from
fever or excessive weakness.
-If ur suffering from itching, rash and pain in and around vaginal area.
-If the discharge is excessive, one need to use many pads per day
usually excessive discharge with itching and
skin rash are the features of mixed infection (fungal, bacterial and yeast).
u have not mentioned whether ur on OCP pills or not. Usually females on ocp notices increase vaginal discharge.
if any of the above mentioned problem is not there with u. then its absolutely normal for u to notice vaginal discharge during sexual intercourse. hope i answered ur question. enjoy ur married life.....
