Is Weird Sound In Knees And Ankles While Bending Knee Associated With The Surgery Undergone At Childhood?

I have a weird sound in my knees and ankles when I bend my knees that causes lots of pain my knees give way sometimes I don't know what it is that is causing this. Just wondering if it could have anything to do with a surgery I had when I was a child
