Is Vitamin Injection For An Infant With Zincovit Drops Safe To Give?

Hello my baby girl is 5 months old. She was prescribed 0.5 ml zincovit drops right from birth. But I did not give her so. Now she is suffering from mouth ulser due to which she is not feeding at all. And also loss her weight. My pead now prescribed her 2 ml of zincovit drops twice a daily for 15 days. He also gave her vitamins injection same day. I m confused won t it be over dosage for 5 months old? Plz suggest

I really appreciate your concern, condition may not be due to vitamin deficiency but more commonly it may be fungal infection of oral cavity, it is better to have second opinion prior to put the baby on vitamin therapy hope this information helps.
