Is Using Selsun Blue Advisable To Cure Ringworm?

Does Selsun Blue actually cure ringworm on the skin (i.e. hand or arm or leg, rather than on scalp)? If yes, how should it be applied (number of times per day, how many days, etc)? Also, since there are several variations of Selsun Blue, is there one particular type that has the active ingredient to kill the fungus or will any variation of the shampoo worm? Thanks

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that if you need to treat ringworm on body areas, you need to use creams rather than shampoos like Selsun blue because they are designed to be used in scalp and hairs and not on body.

Thus, I would suggest that, you should apply a antifungal cream like Canesten-S two times a day toaffected area for 8-70 days. Also, see your dermatologist if the infection does not cover up even after 10-15 days.
