Is Using Polysporin Safe On The Cellulitis Of Leg For An Infection?

Can I put polysporin on my cellulitis to speak up the healing. I m on antibiotics and its drained a bit, now looks like a hole in my leg and I still feel the hard infection around it. It has decreased a lot but wanted to know if the polysporin would help or not.....Thanks.
