Is Using Clotrimazole Advisable For Itching Sensation On Penis Opening?

hi i have itchy feeling on penis head.. after retracting the skin on penis skin.. inside i think the skin has some white skin like thing.....like a fungal infection on groin.....can i use clotrimazole cream ip ??? if i can use can i apply it on my penis head after retracting my skin ? will there be any affects?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itchy feeling on the penis head and along with it white stuff on retraction of the foreskin seems to be due to fungal infection of penis and is known as Mucocutaneous thrush..
But I would still advise you to first of all consult an Internal Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and urethral swab culture to confirm the cause..
In case if there is thrush you can be advised to take a course of oral antifungal medication like Fluconazole..
You can be advised to keep the area clean and also apply antifungal ointment over it..
In case if you are sexually active, treatment should be given to your partner too..
Along with it keep the area clean and wear loose fitting and cotton undergarments..
