Is Urine Protein Level Of 214 A Cause For Concern?

I have recently completed a 24 hour urine and the protein levels are 214. I am a Mayo patient and have access to my reports. I have not been notified of any follow up. My question, when are Doctors concerned with the numbers. I have gone up by 20% in a year? Just trying to find out more information. I am a diabetic have pulm hypertension being treated for both. protein levels up to 80 mg are considered Normal for a 24-hour urine protein test , as your values are high you should definitely consult with your doctor for this

As u said u r diabetic it is very likely to get this kind of result but u should get it evaluated , it is important to monitor kidney functionalities in your case

I would Strongly Suggest you to See a Urologist , he will examine it and May Go For Further investigations and tests to determine the health of your kidneys and will rule out any underlying medical condition
