Is Ulcerative Colities Curable?

I am 38 years old woman .I have ulcerative colities which is non malignant . My recent weight is 52Kgs and my hight is 5.3ft .I suffer it last 10 months.I took medicine last 2 months.First one month my doctor prescribe mesacol and now vegazod .There is no history in my family. Is it curable for me?

Ulcerative colitis can curable disease.
First primary medicine are given in this diseases.

5-aminosalicyluc acid is use in ulcerative colitis.
Long term ulcerative colitis case steroids are given.

After taking this drugs still symptoms are present than you have to do surgery.
Colonectomy most commonly done at affected area of colon.

Avoid spicy foods and alcohol. Avoid fatty and oily foods.
Take care.
