Dear sir/madam
i can understand your concern
i would like to explain you about type 1 diabetes
type 1 diabetes is a kind of autoimmune disorder in which the body's own defence mechanism turns against insulin producing cells called Beta cells in pancreas.
so ultimately type 1 diabetes should depend on insulin shots to maintain blood sugars.
the rate of progression of damage in pancreas differ from patient to patient

When a patient starts on insulin injections, the pancreas is under less pressure to produce insulin.

This period of rest, afforded by the injections, stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin from the remaining beta cells. This period is called 'Honeymoon phase'

However, after a period of months, the vast majority of these remaining beta cells will also be destroyed, and the honeymoon period ends when the pancreas stops producing sufficient insulin to aid blood glucose control any more.

i suggest you to stop tabletes because it might deteriorate the remaining beta
cells quickly so start using insulin in minimal dose if sugars start raising.

consult your treating doc for further analysis and advice.

Hope I was able to help you.

If you have any further question feel free to write me back. I will be happy to help.

Take care.

Best Regards.
