Hello and welcome to HCM
I have read and understood your query
I hope this will help
Both
hypertension and diabetes are leading causes of CRF...however once developed you are left with only two options ..
Regular hemodialysis (or)
Renal
transplantation..
Renal transplantation is more better of the two options...I think you should sit with your
NEPHROLOGIST and discuss in detail about procedure and future prognosis... Mean while control of diabetes and hypertension are necessary... You should start taking
calcium SUPPLEMENTS and follow strict dietry restrictions including low salt intake and decreased consumption of foods like bananas, read meat, bakery products and dry fruits.
Meanwhile you should regularly check you urea, creatinine and serum electrolyte levels..
Dose of insulin should be decreased as its requirements lessen with CRF..
In case you develop syptoms like intractable vomitting,
shortness of breath or hiccups, cheast pain ets plz immediately consult your nephrologist
br>I hope this was helpful
Thanks
