Is Tongue Infection Making My Tongue Movement Difficult?

Hi. I just got my tongue pierced almost 6 weeks ago. It healed very well and not a lot of pain. It totally healed and I can do everything I could before. No pain or anything. But today, around lunch time, I noticed I couldn t stick my tongue out all the way. Throughout the day it has gotten worse. I can barely stick my tongue out passed my lips and I can normally lick my nose and chin. I flipped my tongue up and my lingual frenulum is very swollen. It s red and extremely swollen and has two tiny whitish dots. I freaked out and immediately brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth with sea saltwater twice. It instantly felt better but I can still tell it s hurt. Is it an infection? Should I go see my doctor tomorrow? If it is an infection, can it spread to my brain? Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The pain and swelling can be because of the infection at the pierced site. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole(if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
