Is tight scrotum normal?

This was a big (or small) worry for me, because the testes are pushed up into the penis from the lack of (for want of better words) ball droop, it makes me look tiny on a flop, it became such a worry I looked into average size etc. when aroused I whipped a ruler out, was happy to see above average! I then had the confidence to speak to a lady friend about why I wouldn't shower in front of her or walk around without pants. Turns out the technical term is a 'grower, not a shower'. Still have a bad complex on a flop, won't shower in gyms etc. but feel a lot better for looking into it.

I have the same problem. I don't know if every thing started at the gym. I didn't pay attention. The problems is the same as you guys, even after a bath the scrotum feels too tight to the body, and when I sit down I feel unpleasant. (like a rock inside). Some times the scrotum feel lose like normal, and other times is tight. In some other forum, they advise to check up for normal levels as well like Arial, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; color: #333333;">dihydrotestosterone. I think the key besides going to the doctor is to keep running, drink plenty of water and have less stressful life. I sit down to long on chairs (that could be a problem as well.) Try to avoid seat down directly to flat surface. Your prostate and that area need their space. In conclusion, I am still working with these issues. I think every thing is normal oz I don't have any other scary symptoms. 

It is not normal but if the pain is not there then atleast I know it's not a torsion..In some cases of undescended testis it may happen but itf it is a recent phenomena then there should be nothing serious to worry. If it has been there for a long time then you should meet a GP.

Thanks! My testicles are in place and have been all my life (i'm in my 30's now) it's just that the actual scrotum/sack does not hang low.... it is tight/small and i can push my testicles back up inside.... there is no pain at all....

Anyway i think i'm just worrying over nothing really coz everything works fine...... and i've never had any complaints from the ladies : )

Hi, i also have this problem for more than ten years, i am married and have two kids also.for sure it is not torsion of testis as it is very painful and when it happens you cant even move your leg and the scrotum will become swollen and red. i had this tightness sensation when i was around 18 years, the scrotum used to come so close to my belly that i hardly notice there is any scrotum. in winter after the bath my scrotum used to be very close to my body. i did not tell this any body, it is very embracing to discus this with friends. one of my friend got into medicine and slowly i asked him about the scrotum tightness, he said it is ok not to worry as such and it is because of short scrotum skin. unless there is no problem with sex or there is no pain you need not worry. one more thing the tight scrotum has some protective effect against the torsion of testis

My baby is 17 weeks old and previously showed no signs of this however, in the last few days his scrotum has all but dispeared its gone so tight! You could say its because of the cold weather but this is the case with the heating on, in the bath etc etc. Should I be worried?

to the Mother i'd say i don't think there's anything to worry about.... as i say i function fine!

 

I used to think there may be something in the water or certain foods i eat.... still do think it sometimes what with all the Genetically Modified foods these days!!!

At least i'm not the only one : ) And yes it is pretty embarassing to go to the GP about.... of course though we could probably get some added skin down there now if we wanted but i'm not going to bother with any skin transplants! Actually when i've had my bath mine does hang but it's only from the heat obviously.... i've also been thinking that it could be to do with my chilli intake.... sounds ridiculous i know but my scrotum seems to become tighter/smaller when i have chilli...
