Is Thyrofit And Bimet Right Treatment For Hypothyroidism?
my age 24 (Female) weight (66.6 kgs) , suffering from hypothyroidisum, First before using any Tablets my TSH was 7.2 . After using (thyrofir 25 mg ) for one month my TSH came down to 3.1. Again after 6 months (TSH - 5) my weight also increased to 68.5. Then doctor increased my dose to 50 mg. (I suffer from lot of itching in evening and morning times).
Along with thyrofit . I am also using BIMET 1 gram daily ( for regular periods)
Hello, I read carefully your concerns and understood your query. The only way to treat hypothyroidism is by substituting the hormone taking it orally. When you start the treatment you have to do frequent controls of TSH level until you find the proper dose. Once you find the adequate dose than you need to check it once in 6 months or 1 year. Before and during pregnancy you should stay under close control. Regarding to BIMET there is no interaction with thyrofit and you may take both of them to treat 2 different pathologies. Hope the information is helpful. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
