Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello Dr. iam a female / 33yrs old i have recently done my Thyroid Profile and found the immuno assay as below FREE T3 2.47 FREET4 0.82 (normal range mentioned as 0.89-1.76 ng/dl) TSH 3.17 in the lab report they have underlined the T4 value so jus wanted to know whether its any thing to be taken care or it is normal value. pls
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. As per your query normal values are: Free T3: 2.3- 4.2 pg/mL Free T4: 0.80 - 1.8 ng/dL TSH : 0.5 - 4.70 mIU/L
As you have Free T4 0.84 ng/dl ,it is lower near the lower limit or can say it is borderline case. It is not suggestive of serious thyroid dysfunction but you need to see a good endocrinologist so that he can advise you with some lifestyle modifications and medicine ( if required) to maintain your thyroid level.
Hope your query is solved.
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
