I have Crohn's disease (for over 10 years now) and I have just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I have growing nodules on my thyroid. I had biopsies about two years ago and they were negative and I have been to two endocrinologists who say there is nothing I can do? I find that hard to believe. Can you offer any advice?
Hi, I went through your query. Hashimoto's thyroiditis results in hypothyroidism. While you cannot cure it once and for all you can certainly keep it under control if you take levothyroxine supplementation. And if the nodules do not go with treatment and are a cosmetic problem you will have to have a surgery. Hope this helps.
