Is There Possibilitiy Of Missed Abortion After Taking Cytotic?

Hi,

first week of july I took 8 cytotic to abort 9 weeks pregnancy. I only had 1 day spottin and not that heavy.. and i now i feel something in my stomach... and i want to continue this.. is there a possibilities that my baby will be abnormal?please help. what should I do..

Hello and welcome,

I understand your concern. There are some studies that show that using cytotec in early pregnancy is associated with higher rate of birth defects in the baby.

If you want to continue pregnancy then a anomaly scan at 18-20 weeks and amniocentesis to look for genetic defects are the two options. So please consult your gynecologist and discuss these issues.
