Is There Non Surgical Treatment For Gall Bladder Polyps?
My father had medical checkup and came to know he had a gal bladder polyps problem. They suggest us to remove the gal bladder. But he is not facing any pains or other problems. Could you please let me know is there any treatment without an operation or it is mandatory to do the operation?

Hi, I hope your relative is well, the polyps in the gallbladder is a rare entity, usually diagnosed incidentally, however, it has a high risk of conversion to a malignant neoplastic process.
The decision as to how to handle it will vary according to the size of the polyp and the presence or absence of lithiasis within the gallbladder.
1. Polyps less than 10 mm can be managed conservatively.
2. Polyps between 10 mm and 20 mm in the presence of lithosites should be managed by cholecystectomy.
3. Polyps greater than 20 mm regardless of the presence or absence of lithiasis in the gallbladder should be surgically resolved.
As mentioned previously, this should be handled in this way at the risk of development of gallbladder cancer.
