Is There No UTI If Not Experiencing Nausea And Fever?

Hello, I m a 34 yr old female, and my left lower back hurts, it feels like my bladder is swollen, and it hurts sometimes to pee. I went to the e.r. a week ago and they said it was a uti. I did a follow up with my doctor and she said that I should be over the uti. She did another urine sample to see if I still had a uti, but she hasn t called so I m assuming that means I have no uti. I don t know what to do, I have no nausea, fever, or chills. What could be wrong?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you went to the emergency room for the examination and they diagnosed UTI, you must be prescribed antibiotics. If you have completed the course of the antibiotics and now feeling relieved of all the symptoms you were experiencing, you may have been cured of UTI. However, if the course is not complete and you are relieved of symptoms, I would recommend you to complete the course.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
