Is There Any Way To Get Normal Delivery With Liquor Level 10cm?

My wife has 9th month pragnancy and its her first pragnancy,she has a due date on 29th june, her ultra sound report is normal and her liquor level is 10 cm, now doctor is saying water level is not right so wants to do operation and I dont want to do operation until unless it is very necessary.

Please suggest.

Hello,
Low level of amniotic fluid or Oligohydramnios should be diagnosed only when there is a fluid volume less than 500 ml., amniotic fluid index less than 5 cm. or absence of a pocket of 2-3 cm. depth at 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. As your wife does not fit into any of these, I presume she is not having less liquor and as such, she can wait for normal labor, provided there is good monitoring facility. Regular sonogram that includes biophysical profile and stress test if needed helps in interference in case there is any evidence of fetal distress. Hope this helps.
