Is There Any Possibility Of Cancer If There Is Collapsed Lung?

I am a 56 F that has gone through Breast cancer, IDC,ER positive, found early in 1 lymp. Had lumpectomy, chemo, radiation that ended in July 2013. Decided not to take the breast pill for 5 yrs, concentrating on nutrition , staying away from foods that are processed, filtered water & using turmeric vit k, about the first month of chemo , started having this really bad back pain that would come & go. I was a former smoker, quit last July. I recently started having that same middle of back pain, had chest X-ray, MRI, Pet/CT, last week had biopsy of left lung(cancer was in Rt breast) the results came back negative, but my onco just does not believe I am cancer free, because part of lung is collapsed. The cancer markers have not changed, blood work ok, am going to see a neurologist next week, now he wants me to go to a Pulmonary have another test done. I just don t know what to do, he is one of the best onco s, just. Feels something not right? So I am looking at Lung Cancer... Just confused as to what to do????

Hormone therapy is not a supplement or optional therapy.. As you have defaulted on your hormonal therapy , I think the oncologist suspects the cancer might have come back.

The cancer that you have got now might not be lung cancer.. It could be the breast cancer that has spread to lungs.. So your oncologist is right in asking for a pulmonologist opiniom for biopsy.
Go ahead with pulmonologist opinion and lets be positive that it is negative for recurrence of cancer
