Hello, this is Dr. Herisa P. reading carefully your concern.

The VDRL test is a screening test for syphilis. It measures the antibodies produced as a result of the contact with the bacteria of syphilis. So I can understand that as far as you are expecting a baby Syphilis screening is a routine part of prenatal care during pregnancy.
BUT a positive test result may mean you have syphilis. Yours came out negative so do not worry about it. Some conditions may cause a false positive VDRL test, including here HIV, which means that the person may not have syphilis but needs to be checked for HIV. I am explaining what you have read.

So,as a result I tell you not to worry because your test is negative and enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck and best regards
