Is There Any Need For Change In Lifestyle And Diet For Controlling Blood Sugar?
My latest A1c result is 7.1%. I have been monitoring my blood sugar every morning before breakfast and consistently getting a result between 90 to 110 readings. Just curious if I there is anything else i need to do such as increase exercise like walking and cuting down my weight which is 190lbs while my body height is 5' 6" Thank you Conrad

Thankyou for posting in HMC, your fasting blood sugar levels are on the higher range. and also your HbA1c is on the higher side which shows that your glucose control is not adequate. do you have a family history of diabetes? also you dint mention your age. your BMI is 30, which is overweight. you have to do regular exercise and control your diet and bring your BMI to below 25. have a diet with whole grain cereals , more of unsaturated fatty acids. i would suggest you also meet an endocrinologist. keeping the blood glucose level in control is very important to avoid any complications. also you could get your diet plan charted out by an expert. take care, eat healthy and stay healthy.
