Is there any medicine for hemoglobin at low level during pregnancy ?

Hi, My wife is 27 yrs and 27weeks and 2 days pregnant .Her USG report and RBS (92mg/dl) are ok but blood hemoglobin is 7.49 gm/dl.She takes vitamin B Complex tab, Calcium carbonate tab and a tab( Carbonyl Iron+Folic Acid+Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate).I am little bit worried about her Hemoglobin. Any medicine,diet or special care? pls suggest soon.

thanks for the query
since she is now on 27 week, its advisable to continue the iron and folic acid tablets provided by your doctor
regularly monitor her hemoglobin level. do regular antenatal check ups by the doctor
take a lot of green leafy veg like palak..take healthy balanced diet
have adequate rest and good amount of water. your doctor has prescribed you right medications.

As she is having 27 weeks pregnancy and hemoglobin is only 7.49 gm.
It is difficult to reach good hb level at full term with oral hematinics.
So it is advisable to go for injectable Iron like Inj. Imferron.
Consult your Obst and take his opinion.

Hello.Welcome.7.49 HB is definitely quite low.Consult your Gynec and give at least two units of packed blood.Get hers blood iron studies.Also make sure that you take calcium and iron at different times of day otherwise neither calcium nor iron will be absorbed.Also give VIT C with iron as iron is absorbed best in presence of VIT C.Take iron rich diet.Good luck.
