I had a pituitary tumor that was 13mmx10mm and went to a neurosurgeon and an endo and they both advised against the surgery. Have you taken any meds to try to shrink it? Cabergoline(dostinex) shrunk my tumor from 13mm to 6mm in only 7 months. It sucks to be on, but it is at least worth a try before you undergoe very dangerous surgery. The other drug that I was advised to take if not taking Cabergoline is bromocriptine. I would at least ask about medication first. Good Luck to you. I know this is not an easy thing to deal with.

Yes.I had been on bromocriptine for the past 7 months and when I repeated my MRI on this February the adenoma is there, same size. Now, I have consulted 3 to 4 neurosurgeons and all are advising me to undergo this. Presently, I have changed my medication and now I am on Cabergoline. With cabergolin my prolactin level still remains on the higher side..so how am I going to deal it??
