Hi,
I am 58 years old married and have two children and two grandchildren. My blood test shaw Hep B sAG Negative
Hep B core AB positive. I am one men women, no transfusion, never used drugs . I don't drink or smoke. Haw is this possible I am devastated. What should I do?

Your HBsAg is negative while Anti-HBc that is core Antibody is positive this situation generally does not occur in acute infection,it can occur in resolved infection (most common),so dont worry.Get Anti-HBc IgM done which if positive will indicate recent infection while if Anti-HBc IgG ONLY then that is some old resolved infection.HOPE THIS HELPS!
